TITAN VERSA Software Update FAQ
Welcome to the Titan Versa 1.06.7 update FAQ. This page answers the most common questions about the latest software release for your TITAN VERSA Helium Leak Detector. You’ll learn how to check whether the affected features (AutoTest and Data Logging) are enabled on your unit, what issue they can cause, and how this update fixes it.
General Update Information
Why is this update necessary?
This update corrects an issue affecting how the TITAN VERSA reports final test results when using the AutoTest “Display Results” and Data Logging “Test Summary / Cycle Combo” features.
Because these features influence the leak rate values shown on screen and recorded to saved logs, installing the update ensures final test results are accurate and reliable.
Who should install this update?
Any user running a TITAN VERSA with AutoTest’s “Display Results” or Data Logging’s “Test Summary” or “Cycle Combo” options enabled should install this update as soon as possible.
Users who do not use these features are not at risk of the primary issue for this update, but a number of secondary fixes and improvements are included, and all users are always recommended to keep their machines up-to-date as a good practice.
How do I install this update?
The new revision of the software is version number 1.06.7, and is live on our website here: Software Downloads
A set of instructions are included in the .zip file for installing the update onto your machine. The process is straightforward, only requires a USB flash drive, and takes about 5 minutes. This update also included stability and performance improvements to Ethernet and VNC features, as well as improvements to User ID Data capabilities.

Affected Features
What features are affected?
This update affects two features on the TITAN VERSA: AutoTest and Data Logging. You’re only impacted if either is enabled with the specific settings below.
- AutoTest: Affected when Display Results is turned on (Settings → Test → AutoTest, with Cycle End Method set to “Automatic”). This causes the final leak rate to display on screen at the end of a cycle, with a green/red pass/fail indicator.
- Data Logging: Affected when Test Summary or Cycle Combo is selected (Settings → Test → Data Logging). This records final test values, such as leak rate and pressure, to a .csv file on the USB drive.
If neither feature is enabled with these settings, your TITAN VERSA is not affected by this issue.
Do I have AutoTest Enabled on my Versa?
AutoTest is enabled by navigating Settings → Test → AutoTest, setting Cycle End Method to “Automatic”, and specific to this issue, selecting “Display Results”:
This causes the Leak Rate at the end of the cycle to be statically displayed on the screen, along with a pass/fail green/red color indicating if the final Leak Rate was above or below a specified reject limit:
Do I have Data Logging Enabled on my Versa?
Data Logging uses a USB drive plugged in the front of the detector to record either a line-by-line “Test Summary” of each cycle, or a “Test Streaming” file recording real-time values from the detector.
Data Logging is enabled by navigating to Settings/Test/Data Logging, and specific to this issue, selecting “Test Summary” or “Cycle Combo”:
This causes final test values such as leak rate and pressure to be recorded in a .csv file onto the USB drive.

What issue occurs with these features?
The TITAN VERSA User Interface software rapidly captures key values about the detector to display on the screen. The AutoTest “Display Results” and DataLog “Test Summary” features save a snapshot of these values and use them as a final reading when a cycle ends.
However, a possibility existed for the software to capture a “final” snapshot a fraction of a second after a cycle ended, causing the Leak Rate, Inlet Pressure, etc. for AutoTest/DataLogging to be different than what was indicated when the machine was last truly in-cycle.
What was done to fix the issue?
When the new revision of the software gets the most recent leak rate, pressure, etc, it does not record these as being an “in-cycle” reading until the exact moment it confirms that the machine is still in-cycle. It basically “holds” those values and “waits” to get 100% confirmation the machine is still in cycle before letting those values be used for final in-cycle results.
Testing has shown this now properly reflects the last reading of the machine when the cycle is stopped with 100% accuracy.
Does this issue impact the real-time accuracy of my machine?
Since the issue only affects captured final results, it does not affect the real-time accuracy of the machine in the slightest. The manner in which these values are captures and saved are in no way connected to the way the real-time values are displayed on the screen, nor do they influence the serial, ethernet, or other remote readings.
