A satellite communication industry customer required a high vacuum system to test and validate the integrity of their groundbreaking technology that provides a real solution for global gaps in connectivity imaging components under extreme pressure and temperature conditions.

We configured a system using our standard 36″ diameter by 40″ deep vacuum chamber utilizing a stainless-steel platen to achieve the target temperature ranges. A cylindrical thermal shroud was also included on the same thermal zone as the platen. This FST system also included as standard or ISO 160, 6″ diameter door viewport with internal LED lighting. Vacuum pumping system included a dry roughing pump and high pumping speed turbo vacuum pump package.

System is mounted on a ruggedized mobile frame and testing is controlled entirely using our versatile HVC-3500 Thermal Vacuum Controller.

  • Chamber Configuration: 36″ DIA x 40″ L cylindrical horizontal vacuum chamber made of 304 stainless steel and a #4 grain polish on the inside and glass bead blast outside surfaces
  • Platen: Internal rollout 304 SS platen, approximately 24″ W x 40″ L
  • Shroud: Internal 304 SS pillow-plated configuration, approximately 32″ DIAM x 36″ L
  • Process Controller: HVC-3500 Thermal Vacuum Controller with 7” color touch screen
  • Thermal Supply: Single-zone heating and cooling on same circuit of thermal shroud and thermal platen using a recirculatory chiller
  • Pump Package: Dry roughing pump (externally mounted) and high vacuum turbo pump
  • System Enclosure: Ruggedized frame w/heavy-duty casters and electrical panel enclosure

LIR Bake-Out Controller System

The Frontier TVAC LACO Infrared (LIR) Bake-out Controller System gives you control of your vacuum chamber bake-out process. This system controls the power to the heat source and uses thermocouple feedback to regulate the temperature of the vacuum chamber. The heaters are small, high power quartz lamps that operate inside of the vacuum chamber. These heaters harness the radiant heat emitted by the IR lamps, enabling them to swiftly achieve surface bake-out temperatures compared to alternative surface heating methods.

LRS Cellular Remote Support Kit
