A worldwide manufacturer of scientific and medical products required a helium accumulation test for bioprocess containers system for leak testing disposable bioprocess containers. The system needed to detect very low leak rates across six part models while meeting aggressive cycle time requirements and providing full pass/fail and leak-rate data logging.
We engineered a custom automated leak testing system with dual clam shell-type aluminum test chambers with a sniffer probe to identify leaks at sealed ports. The system incorporates an automated sniffing accumulation test method and is connected to a helium mass spectrometer leak detector in order to achieve high sensitivity, test reliability, uptime, and fast cycle times.
