Custom Solution | Leak Test System for Reusable Bioprocess Containers

A biopharmaceutical manufacturer required a cleanroom-compatible leak test system for reusable bioprocess containers used in regulated GMP environments. The system needed to accommodate multiple container sizes, support repeatable production testing, and integrate seamlessly into cleanroom and washdown operations.

To meet these requirements, we engineered a custom, dual-chamber, turnkey leak test system using the helium hard vacuum leak test method. The system supports multiple container models while maintaining consistent test sensitivity and fast cycle times. Built with stainless steel construction and enclosed for controlled environments, the solution delivers reliable leak detection while supporting automated and manual operation modes for production flexibility.

  • Heavy duty stainless steel workstation frame and 16 gauge stainless steel enclosure includes ventilation and exhaust features compatible with bioprocessing, clean room, and wash down environments
  • Dual, 304 stainless steel vertical cylindrical vacuum chambers capable of testing containers up to 20 liters in volume. Chambers feature a hinged lid and lid close sensor
  • PLC touchscreen access to test parameters, timers, with display of test status, failures, faults, and operator messages. Software capable of fully automated and manual mode operation of test sequence with built-in interlocks for manual operation. Controller software features data logging, data storage, and network connectivity
