A manufacturer of automotive components required a custom leak test system for air suspension reservoirs used in vehicle suspension assemblies. Key requirements included fast cycle times, reliable sealing on tight-tolerance parts, automated ink marking of passing components, and integrated barcode labeling for production tracking.
To meet these requirements, we engineered a custom helium hard vacuum leak test station designed for efficient operator loading and repeatable testing. The system uses precision hard tooling that seals directly to the reservoir and opens the internal valve only after proper engagement. An integrated ink marking system applies pass identification while the part remains inside the vacuum chamber, eliminating secondary handling steps. In addition, a built-in Schrader valve allows rapid pressurization and evacuation to support high-throughput production environments.
