A global supplier of medical products required a Package Testing System for Medical Products that could meet ASTM D6653 specifications. Their existing setup could not provide the vacuum and pressure control needed for reliable package performance testing, so they requested a fully integrated solution.

To meet these requirements, we engineered a custom system built around a 36″ cube aluminum vacuum chamber, a high-capacity vacuum pump, and a VC-3500 vacuum controller for precise pressure control, automated test sequencing, and data logging. The system includes an 8″ glass viewport with internal LED lighting, custom ports for vent, gauge, and temperature measurement, and an electronically heated internal shelf rated to 200° F. This configuration allows consistent, repeatable testing of medical packaging across the full vacuum and pressure range outlined in ASTM D6653.
