A commercial space manufacturer required a vacuum chamber for space components that could support large-scale testing under high-vacuum conditions.

To meet these requirements, LACO engineered a custom 40″ Cube High Vacuum Chamber designed for front-loading access and flexible integration of sensors and electrical connections. The chamber uses a 304 stainless steel body and a swing-hinged stainless steel door to maintain durability; moreover, an 8″ borosilicate glass viewport provides clear visibility during test operations. Additionally, multiple port types—NW25, NW50, ISO160, and ISO200—allow the system to accommodate a wide range of instrumentation. As a result, the chamber supports complex and repeatable test setups used in commercial space hardware qualification. To further enhance performance, the system is rated to 1 × 10⁻⁶ Torr and achieves a helium leak rate of 1 × 10⁻⁸ atm-cc/sec, ensuring the vacuum integrity required for space-related component testing. Finally, support feet allow the chamber to be mounted on a tabletop or customized LACO cart for operational flexibility.
