Helium Sniffing Systems

Helium sniffing detects leaks in large products or when pinpointing the exact leak location is critical. Engineers fill components with helium, then scan their surfaces using a sniffer probe connected to a helium leak detector to find escaping tracer gas. The process can be performed manually or automated with robotic systems for greater consistency and efficiency.

Standard Features
  • Suitable for components too large for test chambers
  • Detects leaks typically ≥ 1×10⁻⁶ atm·cc/sec
  • Sniffer probe connected to helium leak detector for surface scanning
  • Manual or automated operation with robotic integration options
Applications
  • Automotive assemblies and fuel systems
  • Aerospace structures and components
  • Large vacuum vessels
  • General assemblies requiring pinpoint leak location
