Helium Bombing Systems

Helium bombing tests hermetically sealed electronics and devices that cannot be directly pressurized with helium. Engineers place components in a pressurized chamber where helium penetrates any leaks. After exposure, they move the parts to a vacuum chamber connected to a helium leak detector to measure and confirm leakage levels accurately.

Standard Features
  • Pressurized chamber for controlled helium exposure
  • Vacuum chamber with integrated leak detector connection
  • Process based on helium diffusion through leaks during pressurization
  • Key parameters: helium pressure, pressurization time, device internal volume, and leak size
Applications
  • Hermetically sealed electronic packages
  • Space and defense components
  • Medical devices
  • Any sealed component not directly fillable with tracer gas
